Teaching and Practicing Prenatal Yoga

All Levels, Teacher Training, Anatomy, Therapeutic

Learn about the changes experienced through each trimester and how to design a yoga class to suit the pregnant women, including simple modifications to accommodate the rapidly changing body, contraindications and common discomforts often associated with pregnancy. We will work with an outline of basic asanas, their modifications, along with pranayama (breath) techniques that are safe and helpful. This workshop is for anyone who teaches yoga or works with pregnant women, as well as for women who are already pregnant and would like to take the fear out of practicing yoga during their pregnancy.

In this workshop learn; mind body practices that bring ease, build resilience, techniques for reframing pain, explore the latest in pain research, self-management skills and behaviors to help you and your clients live well with chronic pain.
