I will be presenting a Teaching and Practicing Prenatal Yoga at the Victoria Yoga Conference on February 7, 2016.
Learn about the changes experienced through each trimester and how to design a yoga class to suit the pregnant women, including simple modifications to accommodate the rapidly changing body, contraindications and common discomforts often associated with pregnancy. We will work with an outline of basic asanas, their modifications, along with pranayama (breath) techniques that are safe and helpful.
A great session for anyone who teaches yoga or works with pregnant women as well as for women who are already pregnant and would like to take the fear out of practicing yoga during their pregnancy.
